Google has done it again!
We now have available a simple, fast and secure browser in our hands. Google released the beta version of their open source browser 'Chrome'.
That's right, it's open source and I believe that's excellent news for some developers and programmers out there.
I've tried it myself, it will probably take some time until I will get used to it, but hey, it's already driving me away from the other browsers (P.S. Firefox is still #1 atm for me).

This would be my first video tutorial.
I made a fast web 2.0-like search button using Photoshop CS3, though it will work just fine if you are using CS2. I'll probably make a few more and if you will enjoy them, I will make others, perhaps of other software and programming languages, such as Cinema 4D, Sony Vegas, Fruity Loops, html, css, php, flash. All upon your requests on comments or even direct contact: sircommy (at) my-archive.org or contact (at) my-archive.org

I happened to read Dale Carnegie's book, "How to win friends and influence people" and it resulted that some people who find it pretty hard socializing with others, can actually be trained on how to act and become very appreciated and respected.
I will start with the three Fundamental Techniques in Handling People, which Carnegie proposed at the very beginning of his book read more »

As you know, back in May 2007 rumors were spread about the possible merge between Microsoft and Yahoo, though the more direct idea from Microsoft was to actually buy Yahoo! and own it, to have stronger chances competing with Google. We all know Google reached the highest standards and in my opinion, will remain #1.
Microsoft fights hard and spends a lot of money to get back on its feet, it's why they even considered getting Yahoo's shares and user/clients. But let's be realistic an read more »

Just to clear things out, I am not talking about the usual sitemap link/option which would contain all of the site's links on a web page, but a list of all the pages(URLs/links) from your site in an XML format, which search engines crawl to find the path towards your web pages, since some have difficulties finding them all via web links (even though the same technique is used with this online tool).
There are software to create these XML sitemaps, but why bother when you can do it on read more »

I didn't have the "guts" to Install Windows VISTA due to all of the negative feedback, but barely recently I've decided to give it a try and see things for myself.
For all the pushers around, back off! Windows Vista is not as bad as you describe it, and if you're planning to leave negative feedback, do be specific and just "Vista is no good".
Anyway, I went and purchased a Vista Ultimate license, got home and installed it right away, installed all the drivers needed, ever read more »

It's nice to hear Alexa keeps up with users' suggestions and have made an important upgrade recently, namely, changing their ranking system. About time, I might add :)
They have not announced any details about their new algorithms, which is kind of awkward, since it's vital information to some.
Most of the websites ranked in Alexa will (if not already) change dramatically.
You can help Alexa by taking a survey with 'just' 4 questions by clicking read more »

Outstanding news for Flash developers from Google & Adobe. Now flash is being crawled by google with the help of Adobe and this through the Search Engine SDK technology. The question is, in what proportions are flash objects' text being read? We are to expect some standards to follow so we can make our flash objects and their code more SEO friendly. Adobe announced that SWF files can be read more »

I couldn't help but notice a big problem in SEO and code optimization advises and articles. I am putting myself in ia beginner user's place and start browsing the web for informative details regarding SEO. In 90% of my researches I find the well known advise "Links! Links! Reciprocal links! Three-Way-Links! Four-Way-Links...and so forth. So this is not far from TV after all, it's pretty much 'brainwashing'. At that point one focuses on linking and leaves the minor but 'important' de read more »
